The petroleum dealers here have now stopped distributing petrol and diesel. The price had been hiked by the Nepal Oil Corporation only to last a couple of days. Now the concern about the dealers is that they have or might have paid at the higher rate and now when the price has been dropped they would have to sell the same under their purchase price. A drop in the price of up to 10.00 makes a huge difference with the stock they have. So this has been a serious concern.

On contrary to this when the dealers buy these petroleum products at a cheaper price and immediately the price is increased, they make a huge profit. The ratio of dropped price to increased price has a huge difference. In this case the general consumer has never spoken anything and now when the dealers are in a verge of losing some profit they are on the way to strike. Finally the burden lies upon the general publics shoulders.

Everyday we hear some of the biggest companies in the world cutting off jobs because of the de growth in the turnover they were creating. There are two classes in the world of business. The first one is the employer and the second one is the employees. Here the other important class is neglected because it doesn’t effect what is going to be explained here. The class is consumers.

All the employees enjoy all the privileges when the company they are working for is doing well in the market. But in the downfall in the trend, a lot of jobs have to be cut off. Lately the conflict among the labors and the management in some of the biggest organizations in the nation has negatively affected the whole economy. Everyday in the newspaper, I find news about a factory being shut down due to this conflict. Here what one has to see is, the factory as the employer and the labors as the employees should come into compromise and the production should remain consistent. The latest news which I happened to read is the news regarding the shut down of Himalayan Snacks and Noodles Pvt. Ltd. I personally feel bad reading such news.

There is yet again a hike in the price in the LPG gas. This is the second time in the last two months or so that Nepal Oil Corporation has hiked the price. Back then a cylinder of gas used to cost 900.00 which have now reached 1250.00 per cylinder. This is really ridiculous as there is no record of price decrease in the history. Everyone is now familiar with the Nepal Oil Corporation’s status but is helpless. There has been no change in the plans and policies of Nepal Oil Corporation on improving its financial status. All the dues and loss that Nepal Oil Corporation has been bearing has been targeted to compensate through its consumers. Just raise the price has been the primary motive of Nepal Oil Corporation to sustain in the market.

Due to this, the whole economy is shaking in the nation. A slight alteration in the price of such petroleum products is enough to affect everything. Every sector is affected. Probably there are no good policy makers in the nation especially in the Nepal Oil Corporation which has already been proved.

The price increment in LPG gas already saw some violent protests and the city is in chaos right now. The local transportation is in complete halt, the business houses are not being able to carry on their daily transactions and as always the riots are busy in vandalizing public property. This however is believed to bring to consideration on the price increment.

Due to the heavy load shedding, the buying and selling of electric lantern and batteries have hopped up very high. The demand of inverters, ups and batteries has totally crossed the supply as the dealers dealing in such equipments are not able to supply in a sufficient quantity.
