RSSThe value added tax is a compulsory tax to be paid by all the business firms in Nepal. The fact that some of the organizations and companies are cheating this tax cannot be ignored but somehow this is the tax which all the business houses should show in their balance sheet.
This value added tax should be a bit more flexible so that everyone can get benefit. There should be different value added tax rates on different products like the VAT for daily consumable goods should be low whereas in higher end products and alcohols should be higher.
The VAT should not be applied to all so that those who don't need to pay vat would be encouraged to expand their business which will eventually contribute the nation's revenue.
