Nothing is so annoying than a computer break down. Last night I was indulged in some serious money earning process when my computer automatically shut down. I am not sure what is wrong with my pc but all of a sudden when you are in the middle of some serious work. This is a computer which is not a branded one but an assembled one that I bought from a computer store of a friend of mine. I have lodged this complain a lot of times about this technical problem that I am having with my pc but the vendor doesn’t listen to me at all just because he happens to by my friend. My harsh words don’t affect him at all because we have been friends for more than ten years. So this makes me learn or do a hardware classes which makes me capable to repair my computer on my own. In fact I have realized how important hardware knowledge is when it comes to trouble shooting some micro sized problems. As of my pc’s problem it’s not that big problem. The fan of the processor slows down and it stops, resulting in a complete shut down. The fan of the power supply is also not working well. So as far as I am concerned a hardware knowledge is a must for all computer users.

According to the survey done by ECA human resources firm Seol has been ranked the most expensive city for expatriates in Asia. ECA human resources firm does this survey twice a year and this time the survey showed that Seol is the most expensive city in Asia. Only looking at Asia, Seol is the most expensive and looking at the whole world Seol is ranked at the seventh position. According to that very survey the least expensive city in Asia is Ishlamabad which stands at 33^rd position. Here’s a list of the most expensive cities of the world both in Asia as well as globally.

In Asia the other most expensive cities include Jakarta, Bangkok, Manila and Hanoi and the list doesn’t include Kathmandu which is good news for travelers.

This survey has been done by comparing a basket of 128 consumer items purchased by expatriates in 300 different locations all over the world. The price of food, lodging etc

One of the most popular and fast growing telecommunication company in Nepal has recently launched a very attractive scheme. Spice Nepal has launched a free sim card to all its customers who recharge their balance with or above Rs.500 cards. The network of spicenepal is good compared to that of Nepal telecommunications. If you apply for a new sim card the cost would sum up to some 500 plus which would include a talk time of Rs. 300. But for now recharging a current balance will bring in a new sim card.

People are more interested in using spicenepal’s mero mobile sim because it is easily available unlike for Nepal telecommunication one has to wait a couple of months after filling up the application form. Mero mobile has introduced a lot of new facilities like the GPRS, PRBT, MMS and Mero-email to name a few. The only draw back of mero mobile is that it is costly when you have to make a call to other telecommunication network. But when it comes to making a call from mero mobile to mero mobile it is cheap and this is the first telecommunication service provider which did not charge roaming charges. These incidents took place within a span of four years which means over one percent per year.

Apart from these loots, the banks in Nepal are doing well commercially. These heists have not been able to shake the banks management and its finance. But these kinds of incidents are always bad and its embarrassing one for the security personals as well.

Some years from now Google will completely dominate the world. Regarding the popularity, utility and commercialization Google will the rule the world in the future. Looking and valuing the current position of Google, its worth is valued at two hundred and nineteen billion dollars. Google has overtaken the healthcare giants Proctor And Gamble in the US stock market. Those which are still ahead of Google include Exxon Mobil, General Electric, Microsoft and the telecom company AT&T.

Nepal Airline Corporation is under threat. Chinese Company AMICO has issued a press release warning NAC of suing a file. Nepal Airline Corporation had hired AMICO for the repair and maintenance of two Boeing 757 engines and later rejected AMICO for some reasons when AMICO were already half way through this agreement and maintenance procedures. As claimed by AMICO they have already bought some engines and they have already incurred overhead expenses. Now if Nepal Airline Corporation rejects the deal, AMICO has to face a loss of eleven million dollars. And if this rejection comes into effect, AMICO will be filing a case with compensation of some eleven million plus.

I am really fed up of with the American economy. The dollar used to bully the international monetary market and now dollar has fallen so low that recovering would take a hell lot of time. I am too much concerned about dollar because I earn in dollars. The exchange rate used to be somewhere around seventy but now its at sixty three and half. I don’t know if I am supposed to be happy because the money value of our currency against the dollar has rose or to be sad because the value of dollar is declining and my pay is getting lesser everyday.

What conclusion I come into is that the effect of the 9-11 is being active right now. When the devastating incident took place, the economy wasn’t moved at all at that time, but gradually its effect can be seen now. Due to this incident Bush waged a war against Afghanistan and Iraq and spent its entire budget in war. Hope after Bush’s administration everything comes to normal.

Managing inventory is in no way an easy task for an inexperienced and raw person. I personally am engaged in inventory department and I have not been able to maintain required stock. It’s already been a couple of months and still I haven’t been able to determine the re-order level. I have some knowledge about re-order level, lead time, re-order quantity, consumption and etc. but it doesn’t work at all. When the sales men come to the office with their orders, there’s always this and that product short and the orders are cancelled which is a very bad factor. This results in low turnover and low turnover means less profit.

But when it comes to keeping stock to the maximum, so that no orders would be cancelled, is not acceptable as well. When we are having a weekly turnover of some one to one and half million, keeping stocks of four million is not a healthy practice and goes beyond business ethics.

There are some fast as well as slow moving items, but maintaining stock has been very difficult. Those products which I think will not sell good in the market, those products move in a bulk. The expected fast moving products take a month to come to nil.

However slowly and silently I am learning to maintain stock and I am researching on the other approach of inventory management called the Just In Time. Due to lack of free time, I haven’t been able to go vastly but sooner or later I’ll have to learn that approach.

Playing games in the internet is really very fun. I had never tried this before until recently I am kind of hooked to playing backgamon online with my friend. I did not know the rules of this game but gradually I learned. Since the first time I learned to play backgamon I haven't won a single game however I have learned the strategies and moves.
