NEPSE Punishes...

The NEPSE has stopped transacting some of the firms here in Nepal. In a statement NEPSE said that the renewal fee which had to be paid by those companies listed in the NEPSE index did not pay the fee and that resulted a halt in the share transaction in the NEPSE. This halt however is not a permanent one but once the dues are cleared NEPSE will allow them to transact. The banned companies include some popular companies like the Yak & Yeti hotel along with Nepal Bangladesh Bank both of which had internal tensions recently. There are some finance companies and includes some insurance companies as well. It is very embarrassing for those companies to hear this action taken against them when NEPSE was really flourishing. Hope fully all those companies clear their dues and move ahead as there are so many small investors taking part in the NEPSE share transaction very actively.
