It is really very important for every consumer to receive invoice in the retail market. Especially in the market like Nepal, it is the most important factor to be followed by every consumer. Generally the word bill in place of invoice is in practice here in Nepal. If the consumers don’t receive or take bills for what they pay, the traders make out the maximum benefit of it. I would like to give an example.

I go to a shop to buy a computer set which would cost 10000.00. After I bought the computer I need a bill of 10000.00 and not less than that. Out of the total amount of 10000.00, Rs. 1300 is paid as Value Added Tax which goes to the government. I would be glad if I pay that 1300.00 to the government. But after buying the computer for 10000.00 if I get a bill of only Rs. 8000.00 then the retailer or the computer trader cheats Rs.2000.00 to the government. Out of 8000.00 I seem to be paying 1040.00 only when I have paid the total amount of 10000.00. Your 2000.00 goes into the pocket of the shopkeeper. The shopkeeper made a profit of Rs. 2000.00 by cheating me as well as the government.

Wikipedia is yet another useful site for everyone. As an encyclopedia is important to all so is the wikipedia. In fact the encyclopedia in the internet is wikipedia. There are a few language options in the wikepedia. You feed a word or information on the search tool in the wikipedia, it displays the information about what you are looking for. The information includes the literal meaning of the word you fed and contains hyperlinks so as to make the browser understand more clearly by guiding them to the page where more related information can be found. It is somewhat like a dictionary. A dictionary only provides you with the meaning of a word but the encyclopedia has a wider horizon. Similarly the wikepedia also provides you with more information rather than the meaning of the data you feed. Wikipedia is the only reliable source where you can get all the relevant information on the subject matter you are looking for. Fancy and heavily colored pages confuse the browsers at times. On contrary to this the wikipedia has a simple page which is easy to browse and understand.

Mortgages are yet to be introduced in Nepal. Banks and other financial companies are already providing higher purchase schemes but not exactly a mortgage. Keeping client’s assts as collateral they are provided loan under higher purchase schemes to buy vehicles, home appliances and land and buildings. The rate of interest varies according to different loan providers. Due to high competition the rate of interest has down to zero percent on a loan which is beneficial to general public or clients. The potential of mortgage in Nepal is very large, only some big cities of Nepal have been focused in this regard. If all the remote areas could also be included, it would be helpful in raising the level of people. Perhaps some day all those banks here in Nepal will come up with mortgage plans as the only institutions doing great in Nepal’s financial market are banks. I too look forward to mortgage a Harely Davidson in the near future.

It is a known fact that bacteria cannot resist silver. In olden days people of the hilly region of Nepal used to have their meals on silver plates. Knowingly or unknowingly having food in a silver plate was is practice. Recently scientists proved that having meal in a silver plate is hygienic compared to other plates if other elements. Slowly yet surely Nepal Stock Exchange is flourishing very well. The number of share transactions is growing day by day. The share market though is completely dominated by Banks in NEPSE. More than 90% of the transacted shares go to the name of banks. There are some other companies besides banks as well which is doing better gradually. The most successful company in the NEPSE is the Standard Chartered Bank formerly Grindlays Bank, the share of which is valued at Nrs. 4200 which is 4200% of the par value, the yield is 4300 % percent on investment of this share. The quarterly, half yearly or the yearly dividends are still there. Massive gap has been created between the par value and the current value. All other shares are also doing well but cannot be expected to become Standard Chartered Bank’ share, yet they are hiking up. NO shares of banks are under Par which shows that the NEPSE is doing well. When a new bank announces share open the applicants always outnumbers the number of shares. This also shows how general public are interested in share transactions. NEPSE has been a very profitable sector for investment in Nepal.

It would be a foolish policy for any leader to invest their capital on weapons. They should rather spend it on cultivating Mars instead.
